Exterior (Skin): When unripe, it is a bright lime green. As it matures and ripens, the thin, smooth skin turns into a gorgeous, soft golden-yellow (sometimes retaining a slight greenish hue or a soft pink blush).

Substantial and Heavy: This is not your average tiny wild guava! Valinhos guavas are quite robust and large.

Weight: They typically weigh between 300 to 400 grams (roughly 0.6 to 0.9 lbs), but well-tended fruits in ideal conditions have been known to push closer to a massive 800 to 900 grams.

Shape: They are generally round to slightly pear-shaped (oblong).
