The Taiwan Pink Guava is one of the most commercially successful "new-age" guava varieties. It has become a favorite among farmers and consumers in tropical regions (especially India and Thailand) because it perfectly balances the size of a modern hybrid with the rich color of a traditional pink guava.

1. Visual Appearance
Fruit Size: It is a large variety, typically weighing between 250g and 500g per fruit.

External Skin: The skin is smooth, glossy, and ranges from a light neon green to a creamy lime color. It often has a very thin, delicate peel that is completely edible.

The Pulp: The inside is a stunning vivid pink or rose-red. The color is uniform and stays vibrant even after the fruit is sliced.

Seed Content: It has a very small central seed core. The seeds are fewer and significantly softer than traditional country guavas, meaning you don't have to worry about breaking a tooth while eating.

2. Taste and Texture
The "Apple-Crunch": The most distinct feature is its firm, crunchy texture. While local guavas often become soft or "jammy" within a day of ripening, the Taiwan Pink remains crisp and snappy for much longer.

Flavor Profile: It is moderately sweet (High Brix) with a refreshing, slightly floral taste. It lacks the intense "musk" of some older varieties, making it more palatable to those who prefer a cleaner, milder fruit flavor.

Aroma: It has a light, tropical fragrance that is pleasant but not overpowering.

3. Cultivation Strengths
Year-Round Fruiting: In climates like West Bengal, this variety can produce fruit 365 days a year if pruned correctly. It doesn't have a single "season," though the winter crop is usually the sweetest.

High Yield: A young tree (2–3 years old) can produce a significant volume of fruit, making it highly profitable for farmers.

Shelf Life: Because of its density and firm flesh, it has a superior shelf life (up to 7–10 days in cool storage), which is much longer than the 2–3 days typical of the Allahabad Safeda.
