Jack’s Salute® (technically known as IFG Nine) is a premium, late-season red seedless grape that has become a staple in modern grocery stores. It was developed by International Fruit Genetics (IFG) in California and named in honor of Jack Pandol Sr., a pioneer in the grape industry.

Physical Appearance
Shape: It has a distinct elongated-oval to cylindrical shape (narrow ellipsoid). While not as tubular as a Moon Drop, it is much longer than a standard round grape.

Color: A deep pink-crimson to vibrant ruby red. The color can darken depending on how much sun the cluster received on the vine.

Size: Naturally large berries that don't require growth hormones to reach a satisfying, meaty size.

Taste and Texture
Flavor Profile: It is a "Sweet Neutral" variety, meaning it tastes like a classic, high-quality grape without being overly flowery. It has a bold, honey-like sweetness with very low acidity. Some tasters note a subtle hint of cranberry or raspberry in the finish.

Texture: Its hallmark is a firm, crisp "snap." The skin is thin but strong enough to provide a satisfying crunch when you bite into it.

Sugar Content: It is quite sweet, typically measuring between 18° and 22° Brix (the scale used to measure fruit sugar).
