## 1. Fruit Characteristics
The fruit is the most distinctive part of this plant, often described as a "jumbo" variety.

Appearance: It has a long, elongated shape with a slight curve, resembling a young elephant’s tusk (hence the name "Ivory").

Color: The skin is smooth and thin. It transitions from a light green or yellow to a vibrant, deep reddish-pink or crimson blush as it matures.

Size: These are heavy mangoes, frequently weighing between 1 kg to 2 kg per fruit.

Flavor & Texture: The flesh is deep golden-yellow, buttery, and completely fiberless. It has a high sugar content (TSS 18–22%) with a sweet, aromatic profile that sometimes carries hints of pineapple or citrus.

Yield: It has a very high flesh-to-seed ratio, with edible pulp making up about 82% of the total fruit weight.

## 2. Plant Growth & Habit
Tree Type: Usually sold as a grafted live plant, which ensures it stays true to the parent variety and fruits much faster.

Height: In the ground, it can reach 10–15 feet (3–4.5 meters) if unpruned. However, it is well-suited for container gardening and can be kept at 4–6 feet with regular pruning.

Fruiting Age: Grafted Red Ivory plants typically begin bearing fruit within 2 to 3 years of planting.

Foliage: It features dense, dark green, lance-shaped leaves, giving it significant ornamental value even when not in fruit.
