The Kimju guava (sometimes spelled Kim Ju or Kimjee) is a premium cultivar of the common apple guava (Psidium guajava). It is widely celebrated across Southeast Asia as a top-tier "dessert" guava. Unlike some traditional wild varieties that are overly musky or filled with hard seeds, the Kimju is bred for a clean, sweet flavor and high snackability. It has a high resistance to pests and boasts a fantastic shelf life compared to other guavas.

📏 Size and Weight
Average Weight: Typically ranges between 200 to 400 grams per fruit.

Dimensions: It is usually small to medium in size compared to some massive Thai varieties, featuring a neat, round, or slightly oval shape that fits perfectly in the palm of your hand.

"Super Kimju" Variant: You might occasionally see a hybrid called "Super Kimju," which can produce massive fruits weighing between 500g and 1kg!

🎨 Colour
Exterior (Skin): When it is ready to eat, the skin is a beautiful light, creamy green to pale yellowish-green.

Interior (Flesh): Slicing it open reveals a clean, snow-white or creamy-white flesh. It does not possess the pink or reddish hues found in varieties like the Ruby Supreme.

The Bite: This is where the Kimju shines. It is famous for its crisp, crunchy texture that many people compare to eating a firm, fresh pear or an apple. It maintains its crunch beautifully even when fully ripe, rather than turning soft and mushy.
