The KG Big Size Guava (often simply called KG Guava) is a legendary variety in the world of commercial horticulture, particularly in Thailand and India. It earned its name "KG" because a single fruit can frequently reach or exceed 1 Kilogram (1,000 grams) in weight.

It is currently the largest white-fleshed guava variety available on the market, dwarfing even the VNR Bihi and Thai 7.

1. Physical Characteristics
Colossal Size: The average weight is 500g to 800g, but with proper thinning and nutrition, fruits regularly reach 1kg to 1.2kg.

Shape: It is generally round to slightly flattened (oblate), similar in shape to a very large apple or a small pumpkin.

Skin: The skin is thick, bumpy (rough-textured), and light green. As it ripens, it becomes a pale, creamy yellow. The thickness of the skin is a natural defense that helps the fruit withstand its own immense weight without bruising.

Flesh: The interior is milky white and incredibly dense. Because the fruit is so large, the "flesh-to-seed" ratio is one of the highest of any guava—the seed core is very small relative to the massive amount of pulp.

2. Flavor & Texture
Texture: It is a "Crunchy" variety. It has a firm, crisp bite similar to a water-rich pear. Unlike the Allahabad Safeda, it does not become soft or "creamy" when ripe; it stays crunchy until it is overripe.

Taste: It has a mild, refreshing sweetness. It is not as sugary-sweet as the Thai Golden 8, but it is very juicy and cooling. It lacks the strong, musky odor of traditional guavas, making it popular for those who prefer a more subtle flavor.

Seeds: It contains very few seeds. The seeds are small and somewhat hard, but they are easy to avoid because they are concentrated in a tiny area at the very center.
