Fruit Characteristics
Appearance: Medium-sized fruits typically weighing between 200–350 grams. They are oval or oblong in shape.

Skin: The skin is smooth and thin. Notably, it often remains glossy green even when fully ripe, though it may develop a golden-yellow hue or a slight red/orange blush on the side exposed to the sun.

Flesh & Texture: The pulp is a vibrant deep golden yellow to orange. It is famous for being completely fiberless, with a creamy, buttery consistency that melts in the mouth.

Flavor: It is exceptionally sweet—often described as sweeter than the popular Amrapali variety—with a rich aroma and a very mild hint of tanginess. Uniquely, it is sweet even when still green.

Tree & Growth Habit
Growth Type: It is a semi-dwarf variety, making it an excellent choice for high-density farming, small home gardens, or even large containers on terraces.

Height: Standard trees can reach 15–25 feet, but they are easily managed through pruning to stay between 6–10 feet.

Fruiting Habit: Unlike seasonal mangoes, Katimon can flower and fruit 2–3 times a year. In tropical climates, it can produce fruit almost continuously, with peak harvests often occurring during the monsoon.

Early Maturity: Grafted plants are very precocious, often beginning to bear fruit within 1.5 to 2 years of planting.
