Early Season Star: It is one of the earliest mangoes to ripen, typically hitting its peak between May and June. This makes it a great "appetizer" for the mango season before the mid-summer varieties take over.

Origin Story: Developed in Coral Gables, Florida, in the early 20th century, it was originally a seedling of the Saigon mango. It has since become a staple for those who prefer a "dessert-quality" mango without the stringy mess.
