🌿 Description & Flavor
The Cas guava is a small tropical fruit native to Central America. Visually, it has a thin, smooth skin that starts out green and turns a pale, soft yellow as it ripens.

The Vibe: It has a highly fragrant, pungent, and pleasant floral-fruity aroma that can fill a room.

The Taste: It is famously sour and tart—somewhat resembling a cross between a lemon, a passionfruit, and a grapefruit. Because it is so acidic, it is rarely eaten straight out of hand like an apple. Instead, it is the star of Costa Rican cuisine for making fresco de cas (a legendary local juice made by blending the fruit with water and sugar), as well as ice creams, jams, and jellies.

Diameter: Cas guavas are small and round, typically measuring between 3 to 6 cm (about $1.1$ to $2.3$ inches) in diameter.

Visual Reference: They are generally about the size of a golf ball or a large marble.

Weight: They are lightweight, usually scaling in at around 0.1 to 0.3 lbs.

🍉 Texture
The Flesh: The interior pulp is soft, juicy, and typically white to pale cream or light yellow in color.

The Seeds: The center is packed with numerous small, yellowish, and extremely hard seeds. While the flesh is soft and yielding, you have to be careful not to bite down too hard on the seeds!

The Peel: The outer skin is thin, edible, and slightly bitter-sour.
