Colombian Red Guava Profile
Size: Generally medium to large compared to wild guavas. They typically range from 5 to 10 centimeters (2 to 4 inches) in diameter. They are usually round, oval, or slightly pear-shaped.

Texture: * Exterior: The skin is relatively thin but firm. It starts out bumpy and rough when green and becomes smoother as it ripens.

Interior: The flesh has two distinct textures. The outer layer of the flesh is firm, dense, and slightly granular (sandy). The central pulp surrounding the seeds is soft, juicy, and creamy.

Seeds: It contains numerous small, hard, edible seeds embedded in the central pulp.

Colour:

Exterior: The skin transforms from a bright green when unripe to a light green, pale yellow, or creamy yellow when fully ripe.

Interior: The real showstopper. The flesh ranges from a deep salmon pink to a brilliant, rich ruby red.
