Brooks Mango Aam Grafted Healthy Fruit Plant

The Brooks is one of the latest-maturing varieties available. In Florida, it typically ripens from August to early October. This makes it incredibly valuable for filling the "mango gap" after most other summer varieties have finished fruiting.

The fruit is medium to large, typically weighing between 10 to 20 ounces. It has a distinct oblong or kidney shape without a prominent "beak." Its skin remains mostly greenish-yellow even when ripe, sometimes developing a subtle yellow shoulder or a very light blush.

The flesh is a bright, deep yellow. While many modern hybrids are completely fiberless, the Brooks has medium fiber content. It is notably firm and less juicy than other varieties, which gives it a "meaty" feel that holds up well in fruit salads.

It offers a mild, classic mango sweetness with a pleasant, subtle aroma. It is not as intensely sugary as an Alphonso or as "spicy" as some Caribbean types; instead, it provides a balanced, approachable flavor that is often compared to a Keitt but with a bit more of a traditional "Indo-Chinese" tang.

Brooks trees are known for their low vigor and "open" canopy, usually staying under 20 feet (6 meters) tall. This semi-dwarf habit makes them excellent for smaller backyards. Additionally, the variety is notably resistant to anthracnose, a common fungal disease that plagues many other mangos in humid climates.
