Average Dimensions: Typically the size and shape of a medium-to-large chicken egg. They range from 5 to 8 cm (2 to 3 inches) in length and about 3 to 7 cm in diameter.Shape: Predominantly oval, ellipsoid, or slightly pear-shaped.

Weight: Usually ranges from 40g to 150g, depending on the specific cultivar.

TextureOuter Skin: The skin is thick, waxy, and can range from smooth to heavily dimpled, ridged, or "pebbly" (very similar to the skin of a lime). While technically edible, it is bitter and usually discarded.

Flesh & Pulp: The interior yields a wonderful contrast of

 textures:Outer Flesh: Near the skin, the flesh is firm, dense, pale, and slightly gritty, containing stone cells similar to a ripe pear.Inner Core: The center contains a highly juicy, soft, and jelly-like translucent pulp divided into pockets.

Seeds: Inside the jelly center are 20 to 40 tiny, soft seeds that are completely unnoticeable and easy to eat.

ColourExterior (Skin): The skin remains a dull, waxy green to blue-green even when perfectly ripe. It does not change color much to indicate ripeness, though it may occasionally develop a soft yellowish or reddish blush.

Interior (Flesh): The firm outer meat is a creamy-white or pale yellowish-green.

Interior (Jelly): The central seeded pulp is completely translucent/clear when perfectly ripe. If the center is opaque or white, it is underripe; if it has turned brown, it is overripe.
